If you search Google for "electric valve trombone," you get no results. That's too bad. I knew that lyric was from a Dave Frishberg tune, but I couldn't remember which one. So I'll add this post, and google will index it, so next time someone searches for "electric valve trombone," I'll be the only one to come up!

The tune was "Just a Useless Waltz." The lyric?

"We'll take it up a half a tone/
Ovedub electric valve trombone/
It's well produced, with no apparent faults/
But what's the use, it's still a useless waltz."
