10/21/2002 Entry: "No more TV, and a quiz"

A busy day here in the office. A machine went down. THE machine went down. That which is Midcoast Internet stopped working. It hadn't done that in a long time. A couple of years, maybe. No one could get online. This happened several times this weekend. I answered about 150 voicemail messages.

Susan has decided that she watched too much tv. So she asked if I minded if we got rid of it. (See my post a little lower.) Of course I didn't. So we closed our DirecTV account. We'd been with them almost from the begining. But, here's a chance to do more as a family, get more done, and read and listen to music more. It will be a challenge at the start, but I think we'll like it in the long run.

Very sorry, Wop. I miss you all the time. I was getting ready for a trade show, and had to remove your photo from the staff section of the display board. But I just couldn't throw it away. Instead, I hung it up here at the office.
