07/14/2003 Entry: "My Sma-ht little pumpkin"

That girl of mine can really get me sometimes. The other day, we were looking at flowers. There was this purple flower that she thought looked like the same hue as lilacs. ''Lilac-ian purpleish'' she called it. I was very impressed that, though the word was made up, she would use a construction like ''lilac-ian.''

Then last night, we were watching some tv. I needed to leave the room, and I changed the channel--don't want her seeing something inappropriate. So I changed the channel to FoodTV. It was some special on a Cowboy Cookoff. Julia asked that I tape it for her. Then later, I was watching a special on Martin Luther. She asked me to tape that for her as well. Well rounded, that girl is.
