10/19/2003 Entry: "Fire Engines? Again?"

Check this: A 1959 American Lafrance, complete with two hose reels, and several lengths of hose. It's all decked out and ready to go. How much? $2,501. That's alot closer to $2,350 than $18,000 is! (For those of you not in the local know, the guy who bought my dream fire engine paid $3,000 for the truck, and then paid $15,000 more [you read that right--15k!!!] to have it outfitted with hose and nozels.)
