There are not enough weeks,
nor are there enough words
to list the reasons why I love you.

It would be interesting to see
how many reasons I fathom, but
there are not enough weeks.

I would love to be able to write
all my heart holds close, and
to list the reasons why I love you.

I would write of my passions, my
appreciations, my gratitudes, yet
there are not enough weeks

for me to get them all down--
it seems a chasing after the wind
to list the reasons why I love you.

I tried anyway,
and from it learned something:
there are not enough weeks
to list the reasons why I love you.
