11/08/2005 Entry: "Weekend Wrap-Up, One Day Late"

Let's see, Friday night after work... I came home. I made supper: steak, noodles, szechuan veggies. Not so much exciting, huh? Saturday I worked at the office 'til noon, and it was hoppin' all morning. The time went by very fast, but Jim and I didn't get any bonding time. In the afternoon, I had a rehearsal for a musical I'm playing. To be honest, I can't even remember the name of the show, but it's got lot's of standard tunes in it, like "I Got Rhythm," and "Embracable You," and "They Can't Take That Away From Me." By the time rehearsal was over, it was time to go home for supper. Susan made pork chops and some kind of roasted potatoes. Sunday was church. We asked next-door neighbor Taylor to go with us. Dwane had to work, so I acted as song leader. We had lunch at Mom's, and the lasagne was awesome! I took a nap in the afternoon, and then back to church in the evening. Monday I did some winterizing around the house. I'm on vacation, see. In fact, in about 1/2 hour, I'm on my way to the oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth out. I've been putting it off for 15 years, so I guess I ought to do it. So postings from me this week will be hit and miss, depending on how I feel. Everyone tells me I'm going to be a mess, but I'm not planning on it. I've got to lead Bible study tomorrow night, and I'm planning on being there.

Reminder to self: to forget to post how wonderful your daughter is!
