A sherrif in Massachusettes has started charging inmates $5 a day to offset the $100 a day the taxpayers fork out. "''If they've got money to buy things from the canteen, they have money to pay their own way,'' Tom Hodgson said. I'm all for it! He's started charging them for haircuts, medical co-pays, and car far for trips when they have to go somewhere. Let's get this guy elected to something bigger. The prisioners all hate it, which tells me it must be a good thing!
