09/23/2003 Entry: "Pizza gestalt"

Some time ago, I experienced pizza gestalt. A combination of pizza toppings so good, their whole equalled more than the sum of their parts. The combination? Get ready: ground beef, roasted red peppers, and chopped raw garlic. I had it at some club we played in in Castine. I can't remember the name. Wait, found it! The Reef. Anyway, it was awesome.

Last night, Susan made the same combination for me. This time, we added ricotta cheese. Oh my! Even Susan said she thought she loved it better than her beloved and venerable pepperoni. Can you believe it. You should try it. It really is that good.
