The artist relations manager for Ludwig posted this question over on one of the drum message boards I haunt:
" If you could have only one vintage kit and it could be anything you desire. (sic) What would it be?"
My answer? I'm not really sure. I'm leaning towards Gretsch, in standard be-bop sizes: 18" kick, 12" rack tom, 14" floor tom, and Max Roach 4"X14" snare. I'm leaning towards tangerine sparkle, but Birdland finish (Cadillac Green with gold hardware) would be nice too.

I still miss my old Ludwig Clubdate kit (60s gold sparkle). I'd love a turqouise sparkle Gretsch roundbadge kit (ANY sparkle would do it!). And it goes without saying, a Bonham-style Ludwig kit (wood, not acrylic) with vintage Paiste 2002 cymbals! :)
