12/01/2004 Entry: "Susan and the Dead Guy"

I had yet another weird dream last night. I dreamt Susan was having an affair with Emilie Gledhill's husband Robert. (In real life, Bob's been dead a couple/three years, I think.) Anyway, I was pulling into my driveway, and Susan was just pulling in too. I asked her where she'd been, and she said she'd been downtown paying her fine.

"What fine?" I asked.

"Well, it's a long story," she said.

Right then, Emilie appeared. "I think you'd better take a walk with me," Emilie said. We started around the corner, and Emilie explained that Susan and Bob had been carrying on for some time. I couldn't believe it! "It wasn't sexual," Emilie explained. "At least, not yet. They were meeting up for the first time, and that's when they got caught. But I looked at Bob's email, and there was a bunch if stuff in there."

"Wow, I've never thought to look at Sue's email," I said. "I never even suspected! But now that we know they were into it, perhaps we should hook up to get back at them!"

That's wasn't flying with her.

Anyway, I asked her what they arrested them for. "Well," Emilie began, "Susan wouldn't let Bob go after they met up. She pleaded it down to, oh, something slightly less than kidnapping." Right at that moment, we were in front of a lawyer's office. A woman stepped out, and having overheard us, said “She was charged with accelerated incandescence.” Then I woke up. Susan was awake too. I told her about it, and she said “Accelerated incandescence? Like in a light bulb?” I couldn’t really explain it. The only thing I could think of was that my Id needed some big lawyer sounding word, and that’s what it came up with!
