11/21/2006 Entry: "My Thought Provoking Shower"

Have you seen the story about the six muslim men removed from their flight? If you haven't I'm sure you will.

Now, have you heard the story of the British Airways employee who's not allowed to wear her cross necklace? The only reason I heard about it was a reporter on the BBC mentioned it in passing.

I bring these stories up as a way to provoke thought. I think these two stories encapsulate ideas that we as a country are working on/through/struggling with, or however you want to phrase it. It makes me think about our press, our freedom of religion, our right to protect ourself from terrorism and how we go about it, and about questions of what freedom is to be offered to all universally.

Just something I thought about in the shower today.
