04/29/2008 Entry: "Weekend Wrap Up"

Just go here. The only thing I could add would be on Sunday afternoon, while the rest of the family was napping and reading, I was transcribing bluegrass tunes! Yup, just like I said I wanted to on the Friday Fill In. And I did play the bass in church Sunday night. Quite a few clams, but not at all bad for a drummer sight reading on a bass. I'm not sure if the congregation preferred the bass or the drums, and I can't play both. Maybe congregants who read here will post a comment.

Replies: 3 people have rocked the mic!

To be honest, I prefer the drums. However--I don't think that you're giving up on the drums at church forever, and I think it's kind of a cool change to hear the bass. (Although I would have preferred it a little louder.) I know you don't care for drums on Sunday AMs, but what about bass on Sunday AMs--it is a bit more subtle than the drums. So, I guess my absolute preference would be -- bass in the morning, drums at night. How's that for a long way to get to a short answer?

I guess I would say the drums. I really couldn't hear the bass from where I was sitting.

You're actually thinking you can please everyone? (Or just getting feedback)
