03/24/2006 Entry: "Paddy's MI-5"

1) What's the hardest thing you've ever had to tell somebody?
I don't know. I guess I've never really had to say anything too hard. I guess it would be confessing some lie to my parents.

2) What's the best news you've ever had the chance to break?
I guess I got nothing here, either.

3) Were you in a click in high school? (eg: brains, stoners, jocks, etc.)
Not really. I liked just about everyone, but I guess I was mostly in the musicians and brains.

4) Do you have a secret that you will never tell? How long have you kept it?
Never is a long time. I have one secret a friend told me, and he asked me not to share it with anyone--not even Susan. Since it concerns only this other person, and since it was very personal, I've not shared it with anyone. Nor do I have any plans to.

5) Have you ever had a secret you told, and then regretted?
When I was in Junior High, I dated this girl. We broke up, and I started dating the girl's best friend. Why? To make the original girl jealous. Yes, I know, that's horrible, but I was like 13 at the time. When we (the second girl) broke up, I told her the truth--I wasn't really into her that much. It cost me a friend, and my integrity. Every time I see her, I wonder if she thinks about how mean I was to her. It was something I should've kept quiet. Actually, it was something I never should've gotten into.

Replies: 3 people have rocked the mic!

For question #2 what about breaking the news of our engagement or telling about our pregnancies--especially when we found out we were having 2 the 2nd time around?

You are a lovely woman, and I'm glad I married you. Now that that's out of the way...

I remember receiving the news of our children (I was at Wal-Mart with Julia, in my office, and at a lawyers office when you busted in with the photo of two lima beans), but I don't remember breaking the news to anyone. My guess is you did that part. And I remember asking you to marry me, but again, I don't remember breaking that news to anyone. Almost everyone new I was going to do it anyway; my parents knew and your parents knew.

Yes, that is all true. However, when you received the news of each pregnancy didn't you tell anyone that you worked with? And I do believe telling your parents and my parents that you were about to propose is pretty big news you had a chance to break! I love you!
