08/06/2006 Entry: "My Wife Is Addicted"

The '80s station on the XM radio has been playing old re-runs of KC Casem's Top 40 Countdown. She's been listening to it all weekend. Last night, when I came home from my gig, she had the TV and the radio on. She explained that when a song came on she didn't like, she'd switch to the TV. Um, wow! As I post this, Tiffany's remake of Tommy James' "I Think We're Alone Now" has just entered the coutdown at #28. Um, wow times two!

Interesting side fact, though: this same week, Billy Idol's remake of Tommy James' "Mony Mony" is also in the countdown. Two remakes of Shondells' songs in the countdown in the same week? Wow times three!
