11/15/2007 Entry: "Salt Sea Roses"

What exactly are salt sea roses? Well, google them! Turns out, I'm apparently the only one who calls them that. It looks like the more common name is salt spray roses. And what, exactly, are those? They're wild roses that grow all over the coast up here in Maine. They grow on big bushes, and the have a more open, less dense looking flower than your traditional red rose. And, they're incredibly fragrant. Of course, you can read more about them on Wikipedia.
