Politics Today

I heard on the news today that McCain is floating a trial balloon: How about a pro-abortion VP? Hmmm. As one who is decidedly right of center, I can tell you that I'm currently an undecided voter. I have decided not to vote for Obama, but I haven't decided for whom to vote. I'm already not a McCain fan; a pro abortion VP would certainly not help things, at least for me. I understand the Libertarian candidate is also pro-abortion. (Probably better, he's pro "don't let the government decide one way or the other.) Who knows, maybe I'll be voting for the Constitutional candidate. Now exactly who is that? :-)

I Broke My Blog

I've been down the last 12 hours or so. I tried to upgrade my blog software, and the new software isn't totally compatible with the old version. All my .html templates got lost. Thankfully, JP replaced my files from back-up for the cost of a whoopie pie! Now I'm testing to see if we're back in business. I may just drop Greymatter all together and switch to Word Press or something. All this because of comment spam...

Bad (Amazing!) First Sentence

I was listening to NPR yesterday, and they mentioned a contest for the "worst opening sentence for a novel." Here's the winner.

"Theirs was a New York love, a checkered taxi ride burning rubber, and like the city, their passion was open 24/7, steam rising from their bodies like slick streets exhaling warm, moist, white breath through manhole covers stamped 'Forged by DeLaney Bros., Piscataway, N.J.' "

Friday Fill-Ins #85

My answers are in bold, as always.

Here we go:

1. The last meal I had at a restaurant was at the Brass Compass. I had a cup of soup and a tuna sandwich with Officer Peasley.

2. A smoked mussle is something I intensely dislike. Generally, though, I like mussles, and I like smoked food, but I just don't like these two together.

3. The full moon was very beautiful in the cloud draped sky last night. The hues of black and blue were a sight!

4. "You're a punk face!" is one of my favorite local expressions.

5. Sometimes it's best to not worry about the mortgage. This is especially true at 1am.

6. I don't know if I could tell you what is the best movie I've seen so far this year. I don't even recall what the last movie was I saw

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I�m looking forward to having pizza with my sons (the ladies won't be home), tomorrow my plans include TWO gigs, and Sunday, I want to have billing day at the office run super smooth!
